Here’s a list of what we carried on our recent 5 day hike on the Isle of Wight Coastal Path.
For the first time, the kids managed to carry most of their own stuff for the duration of the hike but occasionally we would take their coats if they were too warm or took something out of their pack to make room. Hazels and my packs were quite “fluid”, sometimes she had the food bag and stove, sometimes I did. That’s the joy of hiking together I suppose.
Anyway, this is how we were packed when we left the house.
